My Background

I have a background in a breadth of roles from office based administration, customer facing customer service roles, sales, recruitment and event coordination for ICT based events for SMEs.

At the age of 30 I decided to change career.  In my spare time I had enjoyed tinkering with code. I was ready to ‘go all in’, to change career. I left my job and committed to learning all I could about programming. 

I have experience covering desktop, web and mobile applications. I have been applying my skills and continuously learning, while raising my daughter (taking a step back from full time employment). Areas of focus have been Angular & TypeScript, HTML, CSS in VS Code, C# in Unity, WordPress websites, social media management, social media content creation and virtual administration offerings. 

Since discovering Angular, I have been mesmerised by the possibilities of single page applications. Naturally with projects I have worked on, these have involved back end elements (local and cloud based), PL/SQL database, SQLite, RESTful API calls for CRUD operations on FireBase, integrating API for Google AdMobs, and FireBase authentication. I am building up my experience with React.  I am really enjoying the SPA and front end side of programming.
